EciAdsl tips

Synch .bin creation
it can be very troublesome to try all synch .bin files. the best way is to make your own. check out the docs to learn how to do it.
Your kernel!
Get the latest kernel version, or patch it. An unsupported kernel won't work. I was really stupid to use Red Hat Linux 9 last time... i didnt know anything about "fedora". I was a newbie, anyway. The latest version of Ubuntu Linux (5.04) works with the driver just fine.
Fedora Core
I could add one success story here. Eciadsl driver worked with one of the bin files on 64-bit Fedora Core 5 with kernel 2.6.17-1.2157_FC5 (it could work with some modems and not others though, in this case it worked with D-Link DSL-200 Rev B1). I compiled from source and I was also a total newbie but instructions provided on the main eciadsl website are easy to follow step by step.
